في زاوية من هذه المعمورة، حيث لا تصل عدسات الأخبار إلا لمامًا، هناك شعب يُنسى عمدًا، ويُدفن حيًا تحت صمت الجميع. هناك حيث لا تُعدّ الأيام، بل تُعدّ الضربات، حيث لا يُحسب الوقت بالساعات، بل بعدد الأرواح التي تُزهق، تُرتكب المجازر على مرأى من العالم، ويُترك الإنسان وحيدًا يواجه الجحيم بكل تجلياته ... تُهدم البيوت فوق ساكنيها، وتُخنق المدن بالدخان، وتتحول الأزقة إلى نعوش مفتوحة. لا طعام، لا ماء، لا كهرباء، فقط الخوف يتسلل إلى العروق كسم بطيء. من نجا من القصف، لا ينجو من الانهيار الداخلي، من الذكرى، من الوجع الذي يزرع جذوره في القلب.
في ذلك المكان، لا تُطلق الصواريخ على مواقع عسكرية، بل على مهد طفل، على كتاب مدرسي، على ابتسامة كانت في طريقها للولادة ... الطفولة تُسرق قبل أن تنطق بكلماتها الأولى، والأمومة تُقتل في حضنها، والرجولة تُقيد بالدمع والعجز. كل ما هو إنساني يُنتهك، وكل ما هو جميل يُمحى بلا رحمة.
ومع كل هذا، لا تزال بعض الأصوات تتعالى من تحت الركام: "نحن هنا، لم نمت بعد"
لأن ما لا يدركه الطغاة، أن من وُلد في أرض العذاب، لا يخاف الموت، بل يصنع من رماده بداية.
