The mighty Snoqualmie Falls pumping at record levels 💦

Snoqualmie Falls recently reached its highest flow rate in ten years, nearly breaking its all time record water level. This massive 268 ft waterfall felt like seeing a powerful waterfall in Iceland, but only a short drive from home. It was like seeing Dettifoss on a budget 😂 It was such a wild experience!

While the waterfall is currently not pumping at this level of flow, you can still see very impressive springtime water levels during and/or after rainfall. Seasonal spring snowmelt from the Cascade Mountains also adds quite a bit of volume, too. Being only a short drive from Seattle, it’s worth a stop! Except I don’t recommend going on a weekend unless you absolutely have to 😅
